Trekking Andagua:
Para los aventureros que desean apreciar el yermo salvaje y las aldeas alejadas de la campiña de Arequipa. Ésta es una epopeya que le va a hacer cruzar realmente los Andes. Vas a ver los ciervos, las águilas, los cóndores y las vizcachas y quizás los pumas. El viaje termina en Andagua y la maravilla geotérmica del valle de volcanes.
Day 1: Arequipa - Cabanaconde - Choco
Early this morning, we will depart for the town of Cabanaconde, where we will have breakfast. Then we will begin our trek along the edge of the Colca Canyon towards the village of Choco, an approximately 8-9 hour hike. During this trek, we will traverse diverse landscapes, including agricultural terraces and the flora growing on the canyon walls, until we reach an oasis within the canyon. We will cross the Colca River via a bridge and continue towards the village of Choco (2,300 meters), where we will enjoy a beautiful view of the agricultural terraces, fruit trees, and countryside scenes at sunset.

Day 2: Choco - Miña
After breakfast, we will depart from the village of Choco and head above the Choco River, where we will appreciate a gorge formed by the river at one of the right angles of the Colca Canyon. After approximately 4 hours, we will arrive at the village of Miña (3,300 meters), whose thatched roofs appear amidst the green fields of corn.

Day 3: Miña - Llamacoral
Today, we will leave the community of Miña and head towards our first pass (4,200 meters), which offers a breathtaking view of the Ampato volcano and the snow-capped peaks of Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca. Then, we will begin our descent into an inter-Andean valley where we may see wild deer and where we will set up camp.

Day 4: Llamacoral - Serani Pass - Chachas
From our campsite, we will begin a gradual ascent above the valley through peaks rich in gold and other minerals. We will climb to our final pass at 5,200 meters. From this point, we can appreciate the snow-capped peaks of Coropuna and Solimana, and feel the thrill of having reached the summit, surrounded by the natural beauty and geography of the area.
After a rest, we will descend to where the local people gather with their herds of llamas and alpacas to rest and have lunch. We will then continue our route, admiring agricultural terraces and the view of Chachas Lagoon, until we reach the village of the same name, where we will stay in accommodations in the Chachas area (3,100 meters).

Day 5: Chachas - Andagua - Arequipa
After breakfast, we will embark on a 5-hour hike to the village of Andagua (3,600 meters), known as "The Valley of the Volcanoes" due to the presence of approximately 30 extinct volcanoes scattered throughout the valley. During our hike, we will cross old lava flows until we finally reach the village of Andagua, where we will board our transport for the journey to the city of Arequipa.

Note: A sleeping bag, a backpack or duffel bag, and a daypack are essential. If you don't have these, you can rent them in Arequipa if needed. Water can be purchased in the towns and communities you pass through, and there are streams where you can fill your bottles and drink the water after purifying it. In hot weather, it is recommended to drink half a liter of water per hour. It is recommended to carry approximately 1.5 liters of water per person each day. In addition, it is advisable to bring chocolate, energy bars, nuts, electrolyte solutions, and other items to replace the minerals and carbohydrates lost during the hike.
