On this two-day trip, you have the opportunity to discover the diversity and beauty of Peru. In the Colca Valley, you'll immerse yourself in pre-Incan culture, enjoy spectacular views of the Colca Canyon, and admire the majestic flight of the condor. In Puno, you'll explore Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world (3,860 meters above sea level) and one of Peru's top attractions.
Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay
We begin our incredible Colca Canyon tour at 8:00 AM from your hotel and will drive for 4 hours in a tourist bus to Chivay. The Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 meters). On our way, we will pass through the Pampa Cañahuas and the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we can observe vicuñas and alpacas. The highest point we will reach on our tour is 4,900 meters. We will also see how the original inhabitants maintain their culture and traditions. The canyon is the perfect place to experience some adventures. We will spend the night in the town of Chivay.
Day 2: Chivay – Cruz del Cóndor – Puno
Our tour begins very early today at Cruz del Cóndor, where it is almost always possible to see the largest flying birds in the world – the Andean Condor. On our way back to Chivay, we'll stop in the traditional villages of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma, and Maca, where you can purchase some of the colorful and beautifully crafted local handicrafts. Before traveling to Puno on another tourist bus, we'll have a buffet lunch (not included). On the way to Puno, we'll stop at the Imata Stone Forest, where we can observe flamingos and other birds. Our tour ends in Puno.
